Psychological and social noir

Stories shaped by character, power, consequence and the choices people make under pressure.

Red Children’s Shoes

Across a European capital, pairs of red children’s shoes begin appearing outside courthouses, government buildings, private homes and places where someone once got away with something.

No organization claims them. No one leads them. Every pair points back to a story someone thought had been buried.

Behind the shoes is the story of a father, his twelve-year-old daughter and a killing she witnessed. Around them are a detective trying to establish what happened, a journalist asking questions others would rather leave alone, and people with enough influence to shape which version of the truth survives.

Red Children’s Shoes is a psychological and social noir about what happens when the consequences of one violent act begin reaching far beyond the crime itself.

About Adrian Klein

Adrian Klein

Adrian Klein brings more than three decades of international work in communication, negotiation and working with people to fiction.

Years of working with different personality types showed him how differently people can experience the same situation, respond to pressure and make decisions. That understanding now shapes the characters at the centre of his psychological and social noir.
